Cometic’s MLX (Multi-Layer Steel Stopper) Cylinder Head Gaskets feature an extra layer designed to be a “Stopper” layer that provides a torque limiting surface that prevents yielding of the combustion seals. This layer folds onto itself creating an additional stackup right at the bore, when tightened it focuses more clamping load from the bolts to the bore area.
C15372 series MLS Gaskets are for the Round Bore, SVO Small Block Ford Windsor with a 4.100″ bore.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON GASKET BORE SIZE: You should choose a gasket with a bore diameter at least .010" larger than the cylinder bore, and large enough to fully clear the combustion chamber. This allows for gasket crush and helps prevent the gasket from protruding into the chamber.
